Approving your drivers just got easier

The role of the Fleet Manager is becoming more and more demanding. As the trend for flexible working continues to build, it's essential that technology is advancing to become as adaptable and accessible as possible.

That’s why we created the DAVIS App, promoting a more flexible approach to driver and vehicle risk management.

Calling on the expertise of parent company Ebbon-Dacs, the DAVIS App has been developed to not only provide instant remote access to driver and vehicle compliance data, but by investing in OCR technology, the app also delivers a super quick and effective way of checking licences.

Our most accessible onboarding method yet.

It really couldn’t be more simple for clients to begin using the DAVIS App – you can login using the same details you would use on our main web-platform, which means you can get started as soon as you’ve downloaded the app. Upon logging in, users are shown their ‘Summary Dashboard’, which clearly displays any drivers/vehicles that need attention or action.

Everything has been designed with ease of use in mind; search intuitively to locate details of a driver or vehicle with keywords such as ‘high risk’ or ‘expired licences’, or simply search by name/reg.

There are lots of similarities between our online DAVIS platform and the app – the aim of the DAVIS App is to give you summary insight into your driver and vehicle compliance.

Brand new “Quick Check”

What sets DAVIS apart from other compliance apps is its Quick Check licence scanning feature – a unique and innovative way to capture licence data.

Now team members from Fleet, HR and Health & Safety departments can scan licences using a smartphone camera, anytime, anywhere.

The Quick Check scanner reads the data from a photocard driving licence, creating a driver record without physically taking a picture so the visual of the licence is not stored. As anyone that manages driver safety will know, in order to carry out a DVLA licence check, driver permission must be obtained – this is all taken care of within the app itself via a two factor authentication process. The person carrying out the check will enter the driver’s mobile phone number into the app, triggering a pin code to be sent directly to the driver. Once tapped into the app,  permission process is completed. The app user can now tap ‘Check Now’ and results will be returned within seconds, including full licence data such as penalty points, endorsements, convictions and vehicles he/she is eligible to drive.

So, what does it cost?

As part of our commitment to simplifying driver and vehicle compliance for all, access to the DAVIS App is available to DAVIS clients at no extra charge*.
